On Thursday, June 25, the Supreme Court ruled (6-3) that the Trump administration can end Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and Syrians. This decision puts 1.3 million TPS holders at risk of deportation back to countries facing violence, danger, and humanitarian crises. 

On April 17, the House passed H.R. 1689 (224-204 vote) to extend TPS status for Haitian migrants through 2029. 

On June 17, a similar bill was introduced in the Senate - S. 4814.
